Unlock our lampshade sourcing guide:
It’s Saturday morning and you find the perfect lamp. New or vintage, it doesn’t matter. You arrive home, turn it on, and something’s off! The light feels harsh, the shade color reads strange against your room. You try three different light bulbs and still, nada. This happens to everyone and it’s almost always a shade problem. Once you have a good shade source, the task to change it becomes less daunting. My full sourcing list is behind the paywall, along with the article I come back to when I need to get the fit right.
