A slightly chaotic rundown of what I've been gifted, buying, using, and thinking about.
Below is mostly stuff I’ve been into…some gifted, some impulse bought, some on my radar. Consider it a brain dump mostly dressed up in collages and opinions.
1.Side-tie tunic dress is perfect over a swimsuit. 2.Grippy Cakes I wear these under tighter fitting tanks. 3.Staud Striped Scarf So fun styled as a top or wrap around your waist over a swimsuit for a skirt. 4.Merewif Souvenir Box for the shells you find this Summer. 5.Crochet Throw A beautiful Summer layer for your bed. 6.Bask SPF Face Sun stick I always have this on me. It’s so easy to reapply on the go, especially when I need to reapply coverage for my four year old post swim. 7.Silk Boxer Shorts I love the flower detail. 8.Calm Ginger Turmeric Cleansing Balm I’ve tried several cleansing balms and this one is the best! It smells divine and leaves my face feeling moisturized. 9.Track Shorts The best track shorts I have found hands down. 10.Digital Video Camera The built-in vintage filter instantly adds a nostalgic film vibe. It’s also a fun break from your phone. 11. Santal Candle Finally, an affordable candle with an elevated smell! At $24, you could fill your home. They are available in a ton of scents. 12.Handpainted Fish Dish The perfect dish to catch your jewelry before a beach day. 13.Arch Support Flip Flops I imagine wearing thin flip-flops every day eventually catches up to your feet. I’m considering these from Archies since they have a thicker sole and built-in arch support.14. U-Beauty Resurfacing serum My skin texture literally changed in a day or two. After using it, my skin feels so smooth, and I even think my pores are less visible.
Track shorts from above and for curious minds here is the shirt link.
1.Sardine Sunglasses Every day feels sunny with this lens color. I love that the lenses are light enough to leave on when I run inside for groceries or errands. 2. Blockprint Frames A little incentive to get those beautiful photos off your phone. 3.Moisturizing Lotion Stone I haven’t tried this yet, but I love the idea of it! It’s on my list. 4.Tinted SPF This has a beautiful built-in skin tint. It gives my skin a natural even complexion. 5.Claw Clips A summer essential. I’m obsessed with the beautiful colors this company creates. 6.Beaded Flip Flops These pair well with anything and everything. 7.Pearl Anklet Pearls, but cool and relaxed. 8.Face Cleansing Milk I can’t express how much I love this face wash. It smells like a flower is literally blooming in front of my face in the best way. Dramatic, but true! 9. Terry Polo Honestly, anything Terry. I’m always excited to see what this company creates. The pants are here in case you need both! 10.Whipped Boxer POV: you spend the day in the sun, come home, take a shower, and slip into the softest boxers you’ve ever felt. “Whipped” is the perfect name for this fabric. They are so incredibly soft, and somehow it makes lounging feel a little more feminine in a way I didn’t expect to care about, but do. I own quite a few pieces from them, and each one feels like a little piece of luxury. 11.Hand wash I consider this top shelf for the scent alone, which is why it lives at my bathroom sink-just for me. 12.Summer’s clutch I don’t own this, but would love to! It’s available in multiple colors.
1.The Sardine Sunglasses from above. 2. The tank with beads. 3. In the summer, I keep makeup minimal. I’ve been loving this two-in-one brush and bronzer stick—it melts into my skin and gives just enough coverage with a soft, warm glow. Brow gel is also non-negotiable this time of year.
Also, if anyone can suggest life changing products for skin damage on your chest please let me know in the comments! I need something specifically for texture.
The Zara summer sale was mostly for my son Archie, but I also picked up these pants for myself to try.
Credo Beauty sent over the kindest Summer Essentials package, and I wanted to share a few thoughts on what I’ve tried so far. (If you are not familiar, Credo is known for their tightly curated assortment of clean beauty products.) I want so badly to be the person who always has hand cream in her bag and all the little essentials, but I’m rarely that person, haha. But I’ve been motivated to keep the Sidia hand cream nearby because I’m obsessed with the scent. (Another thing I’m trying to figure out: how to always smell good.) I was already a fan of ROZ, but I hadn’t tried their texturizing wave spray until now. Nothing beats the salt from the ocean, but the scent of this one does come close. I’m very picky about self-tanner and usually avoid trying new ones out of fear of a bad result. I’ve been impressed with these drops from James Read. I use one drop in my moisturizer and build gradually throughout the week. Good Weather Skin makes a great SPF Lip Balm. I prefer it in Berry. An ad from Emma Lewisham caught my eye, so this glow SPF serum has been on my radar. I think next time I’ll mix it with a little moisturizer. It felt a bit dry on my skin and was slightly hard to spread. I live in the south AKA basically the jungle. Mosquito spray is a must for Summer hangs. This one is deet free. I have not tried it yet, but even if it’s half as good as the packaging I feel good about it. I got compliments the first day I wore the deodorant in the lavender box. It smells incredible, and I’ll continue using it, even though I’m not totally sold on applying a balm under my arms with my hands. Lastly, is the Ssaint perfume in Cowboy Water. I was immediately sold by the name, and I actually gasped a little on first smell. I’m still deciding if it smells like me, but I’ve enjoyed exploring something new. It’s quietly spicy, and I think the website notes describe it perfectly.
A quick rundown of wellness items I enjoy:
1.Lemme Sleep lives on my nightstand. I’m going to keep it short and sweet and just say in all caps IT WORKS. I also would not be writing this article without the Lemme Focus.
2.I’m naturally better at hitting my protein than my fiber, so I like taking these fiber gummies from Sakara to help boost my intake.
3.Have you ever seen a more beautiful pill container? It includes AM and PM slots, a mirror, and just looks beautiful sitting on your counter. I also think the Remsen pill container would make a really special gift for someone in your life who takes their supplements and daily medications seriously while also appreciating aesthetics.
4.I recently impulse bought Everyday Dose coffee, and I’m so glad I did. One of my current health goals is keeping stress down. I love coffee. I literally look forward to that first cup the night before, but I don’t love how it puts me on edge.
This has L-theanine, which I find calming without making me tired. I’ve been drinking it for about two weeks now, and it almost feels life-changing for my personality. I feel awake, but not on edge from too much caffeine. I really recommend for anyone that wants to cut out the caffeine jitters. I drink mine iced just FYI! It also has other added benefits worth checking out if you are interested!
5.I love these Serenity Gummies for calmness. I rarely take naps, but when I do, I take one beforehand and it helps quiet the racing, anxious thoughts that can come up when you lie down in the middle of the day. I also reach for them when I feel overstimulated and have a long afternoon of parenting ahead. They’re great for helping balance stress and my mood. Cured Nutrition was nice enough to send me a code. Use MIXEDMATTERS for 15% off.
6.Noting the Beast Blender because it’s so easy to use and even easier to clean, which I really appreciate. I also love the blend-and-go cups. Perfect for mixing the Ballerina Farm protein into your smoothie of choice. If you haven’t tried it, it’s insanely delicious. The best protein mix I’ve had. I love the vanilla and chocolate.
7. I have been slacking on a multi vitamin. I’ve yet to try, but I’m considering these from Needed. I like how this company focuses on women’s needs and hormone support. If anyone has thoughts let me know!
Okay, this was such a random pile of things! If you have a specific question about anything I’ve linked or chatted about just let me know in the comments.
More soon,
-Becca
